We live in a world that is constantly "go go go". When you eat too fast, you end up over eating. This leads to less satisfaction after meals, poor digestion and ultimately weight gain. You may end up feeling like you need to automatically lay down or unbutton your pants because you feel so full, bloated or lethargic.
⠀⠀
Here are some tips to prevent overeating:
1️⃣ Slow down your eating. Do you find yourself finished your meal when everyone else is only half way? Take time to enjoy your food.
2️⃣ Take time before you quickly go up for seconds. It takes ~ 20 mins to realize you are full. If you just jump right up and get seconds you're really just self sabotaging.
3️⃣ Put down your fork, spoon, knife every once in a while to help you slow down.
4️⃣ Avoid distractions. You shouldn't be eating while you're watching tv or a movie, or doing anything else for that matter. We need to be mindful and present at the kitchen table when eating.
5️⃣ Chew slowly and take smaller bites.
6️⃣ Unprocess your diet. Eating more artificial sweeteners and foods that are highly processed causes us to CRAVE more of those types of food leading us to eat more than we should.

Do you struggle with overeating?

It is VERY common, you’re not alone!
